Do I need 5-inch or 6-inch gutters?
Most homes are fine with 5-inch gutters. Six-inch gutters hold a lot more water, which helps on big or steep roofs, long runs, and anywhere a valley dumps water into one spot.
Downspouts matter just as much. We often pair 6-inch gutters with larger 3x4 downspouts so water drains out as fast as it comes off the roof.
What we install
Our gutters are seamless, formed on site to the length of each run, so there are fewer joints to leak. We install 5-inch and 6-inch sizes with downspouts to match, in colors like white and black to go with your trim.
We also install leaf protection. If you have trees over the roof, it can save you a lot of time on a ladder. If you don't, you probably don't need it, and I'll tell you that at the estimate.
Gutters and the roof work together. The drip edge along the roof line is what sends water into the gutter, so if you're getting a new roof, that's a good time to look at the gutters too.

I'm Chris Heins. I started as a union carpenter after high school and spent close to 20 years managing insurance restoration jobs before I opened HoneyFyx in 2019. Questions homeowners ask
Are your gutters seamless?
Yes. They're formed to the length of each run, which means fewer joints that can leak.
Do I need gutter guards?
It depends on the trees near your house. With trees over the roof, leaf protection keeps the gutters flowing and cuts down on cleanouts. Without them, you can usually skip it.
Should I replace my gutters when I replace my roof?
It's often a good time, since the gutters and drip edge work together and you avoid taking new gutters down later. If yours are in good shape, we'll work around them.
Why is water coming over the top of my gutters?
The usual causes are clogs, gutters too small for the roof, or downspouts that can't keep up. Sometimes a gutter has pulled away from the house or is sloped the wrong way. I can usually tell which once I'm looking at it.
Is hail damage to gutters covered by insurance?
Dented gutters and downspouts are often part of a storm claim, but it depends on your policy. Have them inspected first so you know what's damaged.
