Should I repair my siding or replace it?
If the damage is limited to a few panels or one wall, repair it. The catch is color. Vinyl fades, and older colors and profiles get discontinued, so new panels can stand out next to the old ones.
If the siding is faded, brittle, or damaged on several sides of the house, replacing it usually costs less than repairing it over and over. When both options are reasonable, I'll price both.
Siding we install
We carry vinyl from Exterior Portfolio and ProVia in a wide range of colors and profiles. Insulated vinyl has a foam backing that stiffens the wall and adds a little insulation. For homeowners who want a heavier board that can be painted, we install fiber cement.
We also replace fascia and trim when they need it, so the whole exterior gets finished together. I bring samples to the estimate so you can hold them up against the house.
Where the siding meets the roof
Wherever a roof runs into a wall, there's flashing tucked up behind the siding. When it fails, water gets into the wall, and usually nobody notices until the damage is bad.
Fixing it means a detach-and-reset: take the siding off that section, put in new flashing, and reinstall the siding. Because we do roofing, siding, and gutters, all three can be one project with me running it.

I'm Chris Heins. I started as a union carpenter after high school and spent close to 20 years managing insurance restoration jobs before I opened HoneyFyx in 2019. The company is small on purpose, and I'm involved in every job from the first visit to the final walkthrough. If something comes up during your project, you call my phone.

Questions homeowners ask
Can you match my existing siding for a repair?
Sometimes. Vinyl fades and some colors and profiles are no longer made. Before we start, I'll tell you whether a repair will blend in or whether it makes more sense to redo the whole wall.
Do you replace fascia and trim?
Yes. We often replace fascia at the same time as siding or gutters.
Can you do my roof, siding, and gutters at the same time?
Yes. The roof-to-wall flashing, the drip edge, and the gutters all connect, so doing them in one project means nobody has to work around another contractor's work.
Is vinyl or fiber cement better?
It depends on the house and the budget. Vinyl costs less and needs very little upkeep. Fiber cement is heavier, can be painted, and looks more like wood. We'll talk through it at the estimate.
Is hail damage to siding covered by insurance?
Often, but it depends on your policy. Have the siding inspected first so you know what's damaged before you call your insurance company.
